Finding and accessing needed health care services can be stressful and overwhelming when you or a loved one require immediate care, or are making ongoing decisions. To improve overall efficiency and positive patient interactions with regional health services across the province, the Ontario Government is building a connected health care system centred around patients, families and caregivers. These Ontario Health Teams (OHTs), are groups of health-care providers and organizations that are clinically and financially accountable for delivering a full and coordinated continuum of care to their specific geographic population.

Riverside Health Care is a founding partner of the Rainy River District Ontario Health Team, which has opportunities for employment at the leadership level currently available. Use the links below to apply online via Odgers Berndtson.

Notice of BORN Ontario Cybersecurity Incident

BORN Ontario is a prescribed perinatal and child registry that is funded by the province’s Ministry of Health. BORN Ontario was the victim of a cybersecurity incident earlier this year and your information may have been impacted. The incident was caused by a vulnerability in the file transfer software BORN Ontario utilized, called MOVEit.

We are among the many Ontario healthcare providers that share personal health information with BORN Ontario related to pregnancy, birth and newborn care – important healthcare encounters that can affect lifelong health. BORN collects data from healthcare providers pursuant to the authority afforded to it in the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). BORN Ontario uses this information to identify immediate care gaps affecting individuals, link information to appropriate care providers, perform health system quality assurance, and analyze data for emerging trends.

For specific details about the incident, and to find out if your or someone in your family’s information may have been impacted, please visit the BORN Ontario website www.bornincident.ca

Visitor Screening Guidelines

We remind all visitors to self-screen prior to entering Riverside facilities. People with fever, cough, sore throat, or other flu-like symptoms are asked to not visit unless they are seeking care. Riverside continues to remind the public to practice good-hand hygiene and to be mindful of exposure risks.
