Cardiac Stress Testing

Heart and pulmonary testing are important diagnostic tools, and exercise stress testing at Riverside Health Care is performed by highly trained staff to help detect coronary artery disease and other cardiopulminary disorders. A physician administers our treadmill test with the assistance of a registered nurse in the Day Surgery department at La Verendrye General Hopsital. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes, including the recording of your medical history and a physical exam. Although there is no specific preparation for the test, patients should wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing that is suitable to exercise in. A current list of medications and dosages is also helpful.
