Mental Health & Addiction

Mental health is as critical to our overall wellness as physical health, and Riverside Health Care offers programs and services with a holistic approach. We have counsellors who can support community members through challenging times, and programs that connect individuals struggling with addictions to the services they need.

Preventative and educational measures are an important focus. Our system navigator can help our community members during their health-care journey. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals includes nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, occupational therapists, family practice physicians, and psychiatrists.

Riverside Health Care also provides acute services 24 hours a day, seven days a week for patients of age.

Crisis Response Service

Help is always close to home. The Crisis Response Service is a community based crisis support program for individuals 16 and older experiencing a mental health crisis. We provide immediate assessment, intervention, referrals and followup for individuals, their families and friends. Trained professionals are available on the toll-free crisis line 24/7 at 1-866-888-8988, ready to deal with any questions related to mental wellbeing. All calls are treated with respect, dignity and confidentiality.
