Beginner’s Luck Pays Off with $24,511 Riverside 50/50 Win

Riverside Health Care is celebrating another exciting 50/50 win, with Roger Spencer of Fort Frances, ON taking home an incredible $24,511 in the September Riverside 50/50 Raffle.

For Roger, the big win came with a little beginner’s luck, September was the very first time he had ever purchased Riverside 50/50 tickets.

“I just thought I’d play. I didn’t think I’d win,” said Roger. “It’s the first time I ever bought tickets.”

With half of every jackpot going directly to the winner and the other half supporting Riverside Health Care, every ticket purchased helps strengthen health care services and equipment for communities across the Rainy River District.

“This is our second-largest jackpot to date, and it is incredibly exciting to see our 50/50 continue to grow,” said Holly Kaemingh, Riverside’s Director of Fundraising. “Every ticket purchased helps us invest in health care here at home, and we are so grateful for the continued support of our communities. We also have some exciting fundraising projects on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share more about what’s ahead.”

Tickets for the October 50/50 draw are on sale now! Purchase your tickets before October 16 for your chance to win our $1,000 Early Bird prize, generously sponsored by The Barn.

Tickets are available online at rhc5050.com, at the La Verendrye General Hospital Administration Office Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., by calling 807-274-6635, or at the La Verendrye General Hospital Main Entrance on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Online ticket purchasers can also now choose a subscription option, allowing them to automatically purchase tickets for future Riverside 50/50 draws without having to remember to purchase each month.
