Big Local Win: Riverside’s August 50/50 Jackpot Reaches $17,677.50

Riverside Health Care’s August 50/50 has delivered another big local win, with Danielle Hammond of Devlin, ON taking home a $17,677.50 jackpot.

“No way!” was Hammond’s first reaction when she received the call letting her know she was the August winner.

“I just started buying the Riverside ones again last month,” added Hammond. “This was not the call I was expecting today. That turned my day around 100 per cent!”

For Riverside Health Care Fundraising Director Holly Kaemingh, calling another local winner was an exciting way to close out another strong month for the Riverside 50/50.

“It’s always exciting to make that call and hear the reaction on the other end,” said Kaemingh. “We’ve now seen 11 consecutive jackpots over $10,000, and it’s especially exciting when those prizes are won right here in our district. It really is a win-win for our communities. Someone gets an incredible surprise, while every ticket purchased helps support local health care.”

September 50/50 tickets are now on sale. Purchase tickets at www.rhc5050.com, by stopping by the La Verendrye General Hospital Administration Office Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., by calling 807-274-6635, or by visiting us in person every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Main Entrance of La Verendrye General Hospital off Front Street.
