Health Care Launches First-Ever “Links for Local Care” Golf Tournament
A New Way for the
Community to Come Together and Support Local Health Care
Riverside Health Care is excited to
announce the launch of its first-ever golf tournament, Links for Local Care,
taking place Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Kitchen Creek Golf Course.
This inaugural event brings together
community members, local businesses, and health care supporters for a day of
connection, fun, and purpose - with all proceeds directly supporting
Riverside’s Lights, Camera, DIAGNOSIS! campaign, helping bring the
district’s first MRI and enhance digital X-ray services at both La Verendrye
General Hospital and Rainy River Health Centre.
“This is something new for Riverside
and we’re really excited about it,” said Holly Kaemingh, Director of Fundraising.
“Links for Local Care is about more than just a great day on the course. It’s
about bringing people together in a new way to support local health care and
make a real impact close to home.”
Kaemingh noted that introducing a
golf tournament opens the door to new opportunities for community engagement
and fundraising.
“We’re always looking for fresh,
meaningful ways for people to get involved,” she said. “This event offers
something a little different, whether you’re an avid golfer, a local business,
or someone who simply wants to support better care in our district.”
She also extended appreciation to
the event’s host venue. “We’re incredibly grateful to Kitchen Creek Golf Course
for partnering with us to bring this event to life. Their support and course
setting make them the perfect place to host what we hope will become a
signature community event.”
Teams, sponsors, and community
members are encouraged to get involved, whether by registering, contributing
prizes, or supporting the event.
“Every swing, every team, and every
sponsor matters,” added Kaemingh. “Each one moves us closer to a future where
advanced diagnostic care is right here at home, for every patient, every
family, and every community we serve.”
Spots are limited, and early
registration is encouraged.
