Riverside grateful for continued support of the Shine the Light Campaign

November 25, 2025

Riverside Health Care is grateful for continued support of the Shine the Light Campaign during Woman Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month.

Riverside Health Care is deeply appreciative of the community’s ongoing support during November’s Shine the Light Campaign. Among the month’s signature events is The Pink Parasol Tea Room’s highly anticipated annual fundraiser, which continues to play an important role in raising awareness and supporting essential services in our district.

This year’s annual Tea & Scones Fundraiser raised $425 in support of Riverside’s Sexual Assault Programming. This generous gift helps strengthen program delivery and contributes to maintaining a safe, dedicated space for those who seek care and support. We extend our sincere appreciation to The Pink Parasol Tea Room for their fundraising support.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rainy River District Women’s Shelter of Hope - our valued partner in this month-long Shine the Light initiative. We also thank the Town of Fort Frances for officially proclaiming November as Woman Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. As well as to all others who showed their support, whether by purchasing a scone, decorating your business in purple, hanging a poster, or proudly wearing purple on Wear Purple Day, your actions help raise awareness and show solidarity across our district.

Riverside Health Care remains deeply committed to supporting individuals and families affected by violence through accessible counselling and strong community partnerships. Collaborative efforts like Shine the Light highlight the importance of awareness, education, and prevention in creating meaningful, lasting change.
