Orange Shirt Day – National Day for Truth & Reconciliation
Riverside Health Care is proud to join Giishkaandago’Ikwe Health Services and many local partners in honouring Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. Over the next two days, multiple community events will take place to honour residential school survivors and remember those who did not make it home.
Monday, September 29
📽️ Documentary Screenings – 10:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Civic Centre Council Chambers
🎶 Survivors Dinner – 4:30–8:00 p.m., Nanicost Gym (registration required)
Tuesday, September 30
🌅 Sunrise Ceremony – 7:00 a.m., St. Margaret’s Residential School Monument (light breakfast served)
🚶 Awareness Walk – Traditional opening at 10:30 a.m., walk begins at 11:00 a.m. from St. Margaret’s to Point Park (free lunch after walk)
🎵 Pow Wow – 1:00–7:00 p.m., Point Park (Agency One Lands) (free dinner served at 5:00 p.m.)
Riverside Health Care is honoured to be part of the Awareness Walk and Pow Wow on Tuesday, September 30. We encourage everyone to join these important events as our communities come together in remembrance, healing, and unity.
