FDC Foundation Pledges $1 Million to Riverside’s Lights, Camera, DIAGNOSIS Campaign

September 24, 2025

Riverside Health Care is proud to announce a remarkable $1 million commitment from the FDC Foundation in support of the Lights, Camera, DIAGNOSIS campaign. This historic gift will help bring world-class diagnostic imaging technology to two Riverside facilities, including the district’s first MRI.

"This incredibly generous gift will benefit everyone across the Rainy River District," said Diane Clifford, Chair of the Riverside Health Care Board of Directors.  "As the largest one-time donation in Riverside's history, it will make a tremendous impact on our ability to provide quality health care to the residents of our district."

FDC Foundation’s contribution includes an immediate $800,000 donation, providing critical early funding to move the campaign forward without delay. In addition, a further $200,000 pledge will be unlocked once $600,000 is raised locally by Summer 2026, giving donors a powerful opportunity to maximize the impact of their support. To date, nearly $200,000 has already been raised locally, leaving just over $400,000 to go in order to unlock the full $1 million commitment. This structure means that every additional donated dollar now has the potential to be doubled, amplifying the impact and advancing the campaign toward its goal. In just five short months, Riverside is nearly two-thirds of the way to its overall campaign goal, underscoring the remarkable generosity of the communities we serve.

“FDC Foundation’s remarkable generosity, marks a defining moment in this campaign,” said Henry Gauthier, Riverside’s President & CEO. “This achievement is the result of the hard work and dedication of our entire team, led by our Director of Fundraising, and the relationships we are building through fundraising both within our district and beyond. By working together as one Riverside team, we are creating a stronger, more innovative health care system.”

“I want to sincerely thank the FDC Foundation for their generosity and the time they’ve spent learning about our needs and supporting this vision,” added Holly Kaemingh, Riverside’s Director of Fundraising. “Their commitment has given us tremendous momentum, but now it’s up to our community to help fill the gap. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to unlocking the full $1 million and ensuring patients in the Rainy River District have access to the very best in diagnostic imaging.”

The Lights, Camera, DIAGNOSIS campaign will fund the introduction of the district’s first MRI, along with new digital X-ray units for La Verendrye General Hospital and the Rainy River Health Centre. This historic $1 million gift from the FDC Foundation brings Riverside significantly closer to its $1.6 million campaign goal, ensuring the lasting ability to diagnose, treat, and care for patients with the most advanced technology available. The impact of this campaign will be felt in every community we serve, now and far into the future. Together, we are laying the foundation for a stronger health care system that will serve generations to come.
